First-Time Buyers
Step 1
Make the Decision to Buy
With each rent check, you improve your landlord's
financial security, not your own. But when you purchase a house, each
mortgage payment helps secure your financial future. Over time, you
bring yourself closer to owning your home free and clear. A home
represents permanence and stability, and being a homeowner gives you
greater control over your life.
Step 2
Meet with Annette Nelson,
Realtor® and Buyer Agent
Coldwell Banker Realty Corp. Associates, Lansdale, PA
In the Montgomery County area, you can find homes of all
types, but some may never be advertised. I can check what's available
in your price range through the multiple listing service, which
contains information on virtually all homes for sale. In just a few
minutes, you can have a complete list of the homes that meet your
criteria. I will also provide you with information on buyer
representation, the types of mortgages available, and estimated closing
costs.
Step 3
Visit the Homes You've Selected
With the large number of houses now for sale, finding
one that meets your needs can be quick and easy. As you visit each home
you've selected, envision the home not just as it is, but also how it
would look with a fresh coat of paint, new landscaping, and your own
furniture.
Step 4
Make an Offer
Once you've found the home you want, make an offer to
buy. You have the option of specifying various inspections as part of
your offer, such as a home inspection and radon test. I will deliver
your offer, working with you each step of the way.
Step 5
Close on Your New Home
Once your offer has been accepted, you'll need to
finalize your mortgage application and follow through with the
inspections you've chosen. At closing, you'll complete the financial
arrangements and receive the keys to your new home!
